Daisy: Tiny in size. Tremendous in heart.

Mustang Valley Sanctuary

Daisy

“Tiny in size. Tremendous in heart.”

Daisy’s Story

Daisy came to Mustang Valley from the same devastating neglect case as her herd mate Rosie. Starved and sick, she had endured the worst kind of abandonment—without food, medical care, or shelter. At just 13 hands high and 11 years old, Daisy had survived more than most horses do in a lifetime.

She arrived with a painful oral abscess, which required the removal of two teeth, and showed signs of having experienced dystocia—a traumatic birthing event. Her pelvis was misaligned, and she has a small bony growth on her front right ankle. But none of that has dulled her spirit.

Her Healing Journey

From the moment she stepped onto sanctuary soil, Daisy has shown nothing but sweetness.

She’s gentle. She’s kind. She leads like a pro, loves her grooming sessions, and is a farrier’s dream. All she wants is affection, attention, and a kind human to share her days with. She’s not here to be ridden—she’s here to be loved.

You’ll often find her standing quietly, ears relaxed, leaning into a brush stroke or resting her head on your shoulder. For anyone seeking a companion horse or a Mustang to simply love and cherish, Daisy is that rare gem.

Adoption Status: Available – Companion Only

Daisy is ready for her forever home. She cannot be ridden, but she would be the perfect pasture buddy, therapy companion, or heart horse for someone looking to build a deep, loving bond.

Her ideal home would include:

Wild Mustang Daisy

From Daisy

“I may be small, but I’ve got a big heart. I’m not here to be ridden—I’m here to remind you how healing love can be. If you brush me, I’ll stand still forever. If you talk to me, I’ll listen. Thank you for helping me feel safe again.”
